Innovation Meetup: Soft Bioelectronic Interfaces

26. August, 2026

Innovation Meet-up 2

Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research (IPF)

13:00 - 17:00

Our Innovation Meetup series continues with its next edition dedicated to Soft Bioelectronic Interfaces. Following a successful first event, we are excited to welcome researchers, clinicians, start‑ups and industry partners once again — this time at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF).

On 26 August 2026, experts from across disciplines will come together to explore the latest developments in soft bioelectronics and discuss how emerging technologies can transition from research into clinical and industrial applications. The event will be held in English.

The programme features pitches and insights from leading voices in the field, including:

  • Prof. Ivan Minev (IPF, EKFZ): Challenges and Innovation for Electrode Arrays in Bioelectronics
  • Dr. Witold Polanski (University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden (UKD))
  • Dr. Patel (Celtro GmbH)
  • Daniel Nieder (Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf): Unlocking the power of in vitro monitoring through bioelectronics
  • Dr. Mikhail Tsurkan (TissueGUARD GmbH)
  • Dr. Ali Solgi (TUD): The Future of Continuous Cell Monitoring
  • Prof. Christian Matthus (Kurt Schwabe Institute for Sensor Technologies (KSI), TUD)“

Participants will also have the opportunity to join guided tours through selected IPF laboratories, offering a closer look at cutting‑edge materials, fabrication techniques and device concepts.

Additional contributions from innovative start‑ups and research groupsThis Innovation Meetup is jointly organised by BiotroniS, the Else Kröner Fresenius Center (EKFZ) for Digital Health at TU Dresden, and the Innovation Cluster SEMECO. Together, we aim to bring diverse perspectives into conversation, foster new connections and create opportunities for future collaborations.
