Teaching Printed Electronics out of a Box

20. October, 2026

Printed Electronics

Free Online Workshop on Electroluminescent Sheets and Printed Batteries

On 20 October 2026, from 12:30 to 15:00 CET, the online workshop “Teaching Printed Electronics out of a box” will introduce a practical and accessible approach to teaching printed electronics in vocational education and training (VET). Organized by AVO, the workshop focuses on the use of compact experimental kits to make the fundamentals of printed electronics tangible through hands-on learning.

At the center of the workshop are so-called “boxed experiments”, which provide ready-to-use tools for exploring the printing of electroluminescent sheets and simple printed batteries. Through practical activities, participants will learn how these technologies can be demonstrated in an engaging way and integrated into vocational learning environments.

In addition to the experimental activities, the workshop will explore didactic approaches and possibilities for integrating the kits into teaching. Participants will also gain insights into how printed electronics can be connected to real-world applications and emerging industry trends, helping learners understand both the technological principles and their relevance for future applications.

The workshop contributes to making emerging technologies in printed electronics more accessible to vocational education. By combining theoretical understanding with hands-on experimentation, the format provides educators with practical tools to introduce learners to a rapidly developing technological field.

Participation in the online workshop is free of charge. Registration is open until Friday, 16 October 2026.
