Free Online Workshop on OLEDs and Organic Photovoltaics
On 15 October 2026, from 12:30 to 15:00 CET, the INFINITE project will offer the online workshop “Teaching Organic Electronics out of a box”, focusing on practical approaches to teaching organic electronics in vocational education and training (VET). The workshop is organized by AVO and provides an accessible introduction to using experimental kits for teaching the principles of OLEDs and organic photovoltaics.
At the center of the workshop are so-called “boxed experiments” – ready-to-use experimental kits that allow learners to explore organic electronic technologies through hands-on activities. Participants will discover how these experiments can be integrated into teaching environments to make topics such as OLEDs and organic photovoltaics more tangible and engaging.
In addition to the experiments themselves, the workshop will address didactic strategies and practical examples for their implementation in education. It will also explore how organic electronics can be connected to real-world applications and broader topics such as sustainability, helping learners understand not only how these technologies work but also their relevance for future technological developments.
The workshop is part of INFINITE – Intelligent Printing, Flexible and Organic Electronics Excellence, a European initiative aimed at strengthening vocational education and training in printed, flexible and organic electronics. By developing targeted training opportunities and connecting education, research and industry, INFINITE seeks to address emerging skills needs and support the development of expertise in this rapidly evolving technological field.
Participation in the online workshop is free of charge. Registration is open until Monday, 12 October 2026.
