BiotroniS at Offenes Regierungsviertel 2026

06. September, 2026

Offenes Regierungsviertel

Bringing Bioelectronics Closer to Society

BiotroniS was pleased to participate in the Offenes Regierungsviertel 2026 at the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism. As one of the recently funded research network projects, BiotroniS used the opportunity to present its work to the public and engage in direct conversations about current research, emerging technologies and the future of medicine.

A particular highlight at the BiotroniS booth was the presentation of two demonstrators from the network. The Deep Brain Stimulation Demonstrator, developed through collaboration between the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health, Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, TU Dresden and University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden, provided insights into innovative approaches in medical technology. The Biodegradable Sensor, involving HTW Dresden, IAPP at TU Dresden and the Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden, demonstrated another perspective on how emerging technologies can contribute to future applications.

The demonstrators played an important role in making complex scientific concepts more accessible. Visitors were able not only to hear about new technologies, but also to see and experience examples of current research first-hand. This created a starting point for many conversations about future medicine, ongoing developments in bioelectronics and the opportunities and questions associated with new technologies.

For BiotroniS, the event also emphasized the importance of dialogue between science and society. Communicating research is not only about explaining scientific developments, but also about listening to questions, expectations and concerns. Direct exchange with the public provides valuable perspectives on how emerging technologies are perceived and where further dialogue is needed.

The Offenes Regierungsviertel offered BiotroniS a valuable opportunity to make bioelectronics research more tangible and strengthen the connection between scientific development and society. We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth, explored the demonstrators and contributed to the many interesting and inspiring discussions throughout the day.
