BiotroniS at NOD Workshop 2026

22. September, 2026

NOD 2026

Turning Science into a Clear Story

NOD 2026 2

BiotroniS was indeed honoured to co-organize and contribute to the Foundations Day of NOD Workshop 2026 on September 22 in Bad Schandau. As part of the NOD Workshop, which brought together researchers working on neuromorphic organic devices and related fields, the Foundations Day provided a platform for exchange, practical learning and the development of skills beyond scientific research itself.

A central part of the BiotroniS contribution was a dedicated Pitch Training session with Dirk Lehmann, organized to support PhD students and early-career researchers in communicating their scientific ideas clearly, concisely and convincingly. Through practical exercises and interactive discussions, participants explored how to structure their message, focus on the most relevant aspects of their work and adapt complex scientific content to different audiences.

Dirk Lehmann, Pitch Coach and Innovation Advisor with more than twelve years of experience working with international startups and companies, introduced participants to practical approaches for effective scientific storytelling and presentation. The hands-on format gave participants the opportunity to work directly on their own pitches, apply the methods discussed and receive feedback.

For BiotroniS, the successful session highlighted an important aspect of turning research into impact: strong scientific ideas require not only technical excellence, but also the ability to communicate their relevance and potential. Supporting early-career researchers in developing these skills can help strengthen scientific exchange, foster new collaborations and bring innovative ideas closer to application.

We would like to thank Dirk Lehmann, the NOD organizing team and all participants for their active participation and the inspiring discussions that made the Foundations Day a successful and valuable part of NOD Workshop 2026.
