About us

We are pleased to introduce BiotroNiS (Materials and Systems for Bioelectronics: A Network in Saxony), a research network dedicated to promoting bioelectronics – the innovative fusion of living systems and electronic technologies – with efficient applications in medicine and biotechnology.

We plan to promote collaboration and innovation and improve visibility within the bioelectronics community by regularly organizing events such as in-person workshops and conferences on technology transfer, as well as digital outreach activities. BiotroNiS aims to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of bioelectronics in Saxony by establishing formats for knowledge exchange and joint development. These will support the development and transfer of next-generation bioelectronic materials and systems. With support from ERDF funding, the initiative will create a dynamic collaboration platform to pool expertise, identify disruptive innovation potential, and promote strategic partnerships.
